Tracking intermittent FMLA

Okay, so I'm thinking, 60 views and no responses. This means...

a) There is no simplified way of tracking intermittent FMLA, or
b) It's already simple and I'm making much ado about nothing!

Simplified method or chart for tracking intermittent FMLA? If you can't track in your payroll program, why not set up an Excel Spreadsheet with your information?

I don't have a payroll program because payroll is generated by the County. I guess Excel it is! I just thought I'd try to avoid re-inventing the wheel....

Drop me an e-mail at [email]lkuehn@rpm-composites.com[/email] if you'd like a copy of my excel sheet (I'm at home now). It really is very simple, though. I use one tab for each employee, putting the current ones on top. I then start with 12 weeks, and each pay period, I use a formula to convert any hours that they used into point however many weeks. Actually, I do this for both my intermittant and "full-time" FML people, so I know when their time is up and to follow up with them. (We offer an opportunity to extend their LOA, too.)

It is unnerving when people keep looking but down't answer. :>)
