Salary Requirement

On the new FLSA regs, the salary requirement is 23,660 or 455 per week. If we have staff that make 455 per week but not 23,660 (they get laid off in the summer months); they meet the salary requirement. Am I interpreting this correctly? Have a good day!

Yes, otherwise you'd have to wait an entire year to see if anyone met that threshold. The intent, I presume, was to state a weekly salary, annualized.
