Ok. Compensation Gurus! Can you give me an "easy" explanation of what percentiles mean. Example: A person falls into the 75th percentile. What exactly does this mean?

This salary is equal to or greater than 75% of salaries in their grade/job/whatever.

National Guard

Or only 25% make more than the ee does. Just another way to understand it.
