Just received the latest HRinsight and they have a little side column with tongue in cheek answers to the question:
You might be a bad manager if...
* The last time the manager offered an employee COBRA, the employee ran screaming from the room.
* The manager always keeps a copy of HR for Dummies on his desk.
* The manager often resolves employee disputes using sock puppets.
* The manager always makes little "quote" hand signals whenever using the terms employee morale, diversity training or sexual harassment.
* The manager hires a clown to improve staff morale.

*He uses terms like "whack", "sleeping with the fishes" and "cement shoes" when describing his union avoidance strategy.
