Big hint: get some rest while she does. x;-)
I have a son (Brady) that is five - just signed up for T-ball this past week - and a four month old daughter (Makenna). Man was I rusty when it came to diapers, etc.! I never believed that having kids can be such a life changing experience, until I saw my son for the first time. It has also brought immeasurable joy experiencing things we take for granted for the first time again - through the eyes of my children.
Spend all the time you can with your little one. Seeing how small my daughter is and how much my son has grown during the last five years really put in perspective how quickly they grow. My son does not look anything like he did as a baby. He has lost his baby fat, is almost four feet tall, and starting to look so grown up. I have to remind myself with him that he is still only five. But, I still have Makenna to snuggle with!
