Four football fans go rock climbing one afternoon, an Oklahoma fan,
Nebraska fan, Texas fan, and Kansas State fan. They had been arguing all
the way up the mountain about who among them was the most "die-hard"
fan.
Upon reaching the top of the mountain, the Nebraska fan proclaimed to
the other four, "This is for the Corn Huskers!" and promptly threw
himself off the mountain as a form of sacrifice.
Not to be outdone by a Nebraska fan, the Kansas State fan jumped up and
shouted, "This is for the Wild Cats!" and then threw himself off the
mountain.
Refusing to be outdone by the Nebraska and Kansas State fans, the Oklahoma fan rose to his feet and yelled at the top of his lungs "This is for the Sooners!" and without hesitation pushed the Texas fan off the mountain.

Of course, with all due respect, my Longhorns are going to get the ever-loving soap beaten out of them by the Sooners this weekend. Please, try to go easy on me next week while I'm still licking my wounds.
I still luv ya, but after what Colorado did to OU and Kansas did to Texas, I'm not sure the Sooner and Longhorns don't both need to take up tiddlywinks.
Ok, Allsteaks and NaeNae, you can chime in here. We're big girls and can take it.
And for those of you uninitiated into Joannie's and my world, this is the Big 12 South. We Big 12 Women love our football, and we can hold our own in football conversations...but start talking to us about the SEC, Big 10 or (god forbid, USC), we tastefully ignore you and act as though you are talking gibberish.

Go ducks!
And Joannie, please remember to include the "State" after Kansas; Kansas could never have beaten Texas like we did!!!
and be wearing my UT champs t-shirt for the game but from the safety of my living room.
Fortunately my husband and I are both UT
fans so while there will be beer, there will be no brawl - probably crying but no brawl!
By the way - I won't point out the obvious fact that a Sooner spelled football "Footbal" in this post....sorry, Joannie, I guess I just did - you know I love ya, and I know you understand the temptation was too great for a Longhorn to rib a Sooner!
No hard feelings?
What does the "N" stand for on the Nebraska helmets?
Joannie: I can't get too riled up on this one. I have one daughter who went to Kansas State and one who went to KU. I, however, was born in OKC and can't imagine not loving the Sooners. I think you pushing a Longhorn off the mountain was very appropriate. xB-)
you'll either eat crow or steak and
if it's crow, we UT fans will be
happy to dish it out!
Bevo was spelled correctly!
Okay, I have to throw the BS flag on you for this one, Dutch... Like we're going to believe somebody wore *any* shirt into a bar in Norman? Give me a break!
I seem to recall it involved a knife and the one on the floor won't be setting on a saddle for a while.
